Laura is an interior designer specialising in creative bespoke kitchen design and supply of cabinets, worktops, splashbacks and appliances. Usually the client's builder installs the kitchen.

All styles are possible - from minimal handleless to an in-frame Shaker-style family kitchen. Laura can also provide interior design, space-planning and bathroom design services.

She is happy to have the first 2 meetings with clients without obligation or payment. The first meeting will be to discuss what the client is looking for. The second meeting is to go through the plans that Laura has drawn up and the accompanying quotations for furniture, appliances and worktop. The payments for design services are usually staged in 4 parts. Payment of the first stage is only if the client chooses to retain the first set of plans.

Laura works with clients to provide imaginative yet practical solutions for a project, drawing on her experience as a professional cook, artist and theatre designer.

She listens carefully to clients' needs and wishes and is happy to work flexibly throughout a project.

Laura ensures that the final result is exactly as the clients would like, but with a large injection of creative flair and know-how along the way!

By commissioning the manufacture of kitchens directly from a small UK based factory she can get the best value out of a client's budget. With no high-street showroom overheads she can offer considerable cost savings while bringing a more individual approach to every project.

Although most work is based in and around London, Laura has designed for beach-houses in Cornwall, Suffolk and North Norfolk.

Laura Gompertz Interiors is based in London and was founded in 2008.
